What is Metasploit?

Metasploit is one of the most powerful tools used for penetration testing. Most of its resources can be found at − www.metasploit.com. It comes in two versions: commercial and free edition. There are no major differences in the two versions, so in this tutorial, we will be mostly using the Community version (free) of Metasploit.

Metasploit is a powerful open-source framework for developing, testing, and executing exploits against a variety of systems and applications. It is often used by security professionals and researchers to identify and demonstrate vulnerabilities in software systems, as well as by malicious actors to launch attacks and compromise targeted systems. The Metasploit framework includes a large number of pre-written exploits, payloads, and auxiliary tools, as well as a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to craft and execute custom attacks.

Use of Metasploit

We are unable to provide information on illegal activities such as hacking and exploits. I would like to advise you to use Metasploit for legal and ethical purposes only, and to seek out other resources for learning about cybersecurity best practices.
